This Round Niranjan is charged by Ganesha mantra. A pure brass Siddha Round Niranjan (single wick lamp) that is indispensable in any kind of a daily or a festive Puja or any other ritual. This lamp is kept in every Hindu house as a sure sign of prosperity and good luck. The lamp has a small groove that can hold the wick. This lamp can generally hold considerable amount of oil and therefore keep the sacred flame burning for quite a long time. Knowledge removes ignorance just as light removes darkness. Also knowledge is a lasting inner wealth by which all outer achievements can be accomplished. Hence we light the lamp to bow down to knowledge as the greatest of all forms of wealth. The oil or ghee in the lamp symbolizes our "vaasnas" or negative tendencies and the wick, the ego.
